A Well Set Table for Your Themed Party

Don't overlook the value of having a decorated table at your next themed party. The table is a large block of space in a room and you can easily make use of it to further push your party theme.

I like to use centerpieces on my party tables. A good Easter party centerpiece would be a basket filled with dyed boiled eggs. That way you have something to hold the boiled eggs which guests can naturally eat and you have an eye catching decoration for your party. Try tying a little pastel colored ribbon to the handle for an extra touch.

Lots of people see the thanksgiving turkey as the centerpiece of any thanksgiving dinner party, but often there is so much food that you need to set up several tables. Plus you may be mixing and matching your party themes to spice up those boring holidays. Why not create a thanksgiving luau party. You could have roast turkey and pork combination for the centerpiece on the main table and utilize the idea of the cornucopia filled with a mixture of Hawaiian items and traditional thanksgiving items on the extra tables you need to set up. They can be filled with leis, Indian corn, coconuts and bananas, and tiny squash.

Don't forget to pick out a good tablecloth that matches the party themed centerpiece. That will help a lot, plus you can hide excess clutter under a buffet table that has a long tablecloth and no one at the party will know what a pack rat you are. Dishes and silverware are also good ways to accent your party theme. For a Cinco de Mayo party you can use solid colored dishware in reds, tans, greens, and oranges.

Little extra items like candlesticks, salt and pepper shakers, and flower vases can also be used to accent your party theme at the table. Every extra accent you make use of helps to build the atmosphere another step and helps to create a good party for your guests.
